March Reading-Round up

As part of my commitment to getting this place going again, we’ll start with the March reading round-up.  Hopefully you’ll find something of interest in here!

-In the February print edition of JAMASurgery, this review of palliative care interventions for surgical patients is excellent (and has associated CME!)

-Here’s the University of Utah experience creating an Exceptional Patient Experience

-Big news from the SCCM meeting last week? An updated definition and criteria for septic shock.

-Apparently we really do need a laser to help with scarring.  Hopefully in the next year.

On-the-side reading: I recently re-read Brené Brown’s Daring Greatly and remembered how much I loved it the first time. Highly recommended if you haven’t read- or even if you have.  I walked away feeling empowered and knowing I have plenty of work on myself to do.
